My Grandma.........

I got some sad news last night.  My Mom called me at 10:40pm....my Grandma passed away.  She had been sick and just two days before they put her in hospice.  If you know  what place hospice is you know that means they are going to die soon.    My Grandma taught me how to crochet long time ago.....I think I was 8 maybe 10.  I didn't make anything big, just squares and pot holders back then but it was something we did together.  It is sad when family members pass away.  It seems like the older we get the more family members we say goodbye to.

Above is the link and a hat I crochet recently.  Since she passed away I have been crocheting more than knitting.   I made 2 baby hats, which will be listed in a few days and tons of flowers.  

I will be making m first blanket very soon.  I will be selling them too.

What am I working on?

Spring is here!

I have been very busy making new headbands for spring!  I have added a few already in my etsy store.   I really enjoy making them, and my daughter enjoys keeping them so with every three I make in her size she keeps two.  I think I need to start doing craft time without her there, but it wouldn't be the same without her help picking what headband goes with what flowers.   

I have a few more headbands to post but I am waiting a few days, hope to have a few more to add.   Things have been crazy here, still have 4 custom hats to make for some friends at my work, but I only work on those hats late at night or at my work.  Don't tell my boss, just kidding, he knows I knit at work after I finished everything and I am waiting for customers.

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!   We did here, we had just a few family members and some friends at our house.  It started off with an egg hunt for the kids at 10am and then we had a big lunch for everyone at 2, it was going to be 1 but it took a little longer to get it all together.

Spring is here.....

With spring here I am not making as many hats, I am working on jewelry, headbands, hair clips, camera decorations and more....so visit my etsy store and take a peek at what is new.

As Fine As A Frogs Hair......

I created As Fine As A Frogs Hair because I was getting asked by friends to knit, crochet, sew and paint things for them.   Plus my husband said to me one day "how many knitted hats do we need" after seeing me knit yet another hat for our daughter.  So now I get to create things just to create them and post them on my site for anyone to buy. 

I just officially opened my online store January 1, 2011, but I have been making and selling things to friends since November 2010.
